Tilda Rice Packaging

Challenge: We’ve got an exciting new design concept. Can you translate our concept across 19 SKUs?

Back in 2011, Tilda contacted Law Print Pack to manage the transition of their existing large bags from the traditional paper sack format to plastic quad seal bags. Since this first project, we have come to supply more than 30 SKU’s ranging from 4Kg to 20Kg sizes.

The most recent task, assigned by the marketing team, saw the re-launch of 19 SKUs across their large bags, introducing a new design concept to create a more premium look with a spot matt varnish finish. Based on a strong relationship built over the years, it was a natural progression for Law Print to help Tilda re-vamp the current designs into a new fresh look.

Materials & Manufacturing Expertise

Format Optimisation

Pre-and Post-Press Quality Management

Print & Colour Management

Supply Chain Logistics

Once the brief was set, our team arranged several pre-artwork meetings, providing design consultancy and offering advice on printability and colour management.

Packaging redesign can be a challenge for any established and well-known brand. With our team present at pre-artwork meetings we were able to highlight small details that can make a big difference in the print process.

“In any project, our ultimate goal is to translate creative artwork to be the very best it can be on the pack. We know how difficult it is for designers and agencies to develop such bold and unique concepts, and our mission is to see their great work sing on the shelf.”

Ink draw downs and print trials were crucial to adjust colours and fine tune design elements to ensure final release of reprographic files. Our strict quality checks and procedures helped to maintain colour consistency across the new range as well as other products in the portfolio, allowing Tilda to achieve the premium look within a tight budget.

Having worked with Tilda for such a long time, we have always thrived on giving the best service level we can and believe that this is one of the main reasons why we have built such a strong relationship and retained the business throughout the years. It is great to see our expertise and knowledge put to good use as we supported the team throughout the difficult challenge of packaging redesign.
