Established in 1992, Banisters Dog Food’s mantra is to fill your dog’s bowl with food you’d like to eat too. A statement as bold as that should have packaging to go with it!

Before finding Law Print, Banisters used unprinted bags with labels. They did the job but they decided to re-look at their design. They recognised that to compete in the pet food industry, they needed their bags to match the aesthetic consistently seen on the shelves of supermarkets and pet food stores.

Banisters cook their dog food at a consistent 90 degrees C. The quality meats they use retain their important nutrients; a process called Freshtrusion.

Impressed after viewing a wide selection of our high quality printed samples, and being local to each other also made the decision to work with us easy for them.

Our pet food portfolio helped to reinforce that we have experience in dealing with brands of all sizes and, more importantly, they were confident that we could fulfill their wishes and deal with any unlikely problems.

Firstly, we met with Banisters to discuss their options. They wanted a quality look, with a beautiful shiny material that would convey their professionalism and dedication. We decided on a 3-layer structure with a metallised film. We both agree it looks superb!

They chose to supply their dog food in a generic printed 2Kg flat bottom format with top zipper & laser scoring, as well as a 12Kg quad seal bag.

Their design was produced to incorporate all the different flavours of food they offer (not recipe specific) and so there were many elements produced from the CMYK process, which had to be heavily monitored during the printing process.
