From the BOPP woven bags to now PE/PE laminated flat bottom bags, they trusted us as their new packaging partner and we supported their changeover every step of the way.
Burns Pet Nutrition is renowned for its award-winning natural pet food for cats, dogs and rabbits. All products are developed by Veterinary Surgeon, John Burns, who launched the business in 1993 while still working in general practice.
In 2018, Burns made the decision to work towards using recyclable materials for their dog food and treat bags. Having the benefit of working with two partner factories that specialise in different packaging structures, means we are able to source and supply a range of products that best fit customers’ requirements and, in this case, meeting Burns’ demands.
In 2019, we supplied Burns with the first of two new packaging formats – their recyclable heat sealable BOPP woven bags for the dry pet food lines.
Subsequently in 2020, the Burns treat lines were launched in our mono material PE/PE flat bottom bags. Printed on matt BOPE film and featuring a convenient press to close zipper, the small packs provide the structural and barrier requirements the treats require, all while aligning with Burns’ brand direction.
The Burns dog treats products are on the shelves of over 6,000 stockists and they export pet food all over the world to countries as far as Hong Kong and Portugal.
With such a widely recognised reputation, it was a great opportunity for Law Print to join the brand on their journey and bring them our knowledge and expertise in the most advanced single polymer solutions to help them reach their sustainable goals.
