Forthglade has become a key player in the pet food industry. Their signature branding, colourful graphics, and of course their award-winning pet food, are a testament to how to do things right, in what could be perceived as a very saturated market.

Law Print has supplied Forthglade with packaging for its pet products for a few years now, and we’re proud to have seen this brand flourish and watch the complete range evolve with us throughout their growth journey.

For their dog treats, we provided them with K-Seal Stand Up Pouches in a mono material structure made of MDOPE / LLDPE. All in 90g format, some of these pouches also have a small clear front window with registered matt varnish, so that the treats are clearly visible.

Founded in 1971, Forthglade is a well-established brand and leader in the natural pet food market. As with all of their food and treats, their products are completely free from junk, fillers artificial flavours, colourants and preservatives. Their treats portfolio is no exception!

Stand Up Pouches are currently the ‘stand-out’ option for many pet food brands, as their versatility is no match to other options out there. The variety of closure mechanisms combined with practical improvements to shelf-life, waste and reusability strikes the ideal balance between packaging form and function. Forthglade’s 90g packs are the perfect size for dog owners, allowing for easy transport and storage.

Flexible packaging is an excellent tool for businesses looking to move to more sustainable sources whilst keeping the same format and options available for their customers. Recyclable pouches can be printed with Rotogravure up to 9 or 10 colours, which gives Forthglade’s designs the best result. Their packaging uses beautiful illustrations and their whole range of products together has a rainbow effect which appeals to many of their target audience.

Stand Up Pouches are a ‘treat’ to use, especially when paired with a selection of the many features and options we can offer. Forthglade choose 3 of these options – Reseal Zipper, Easy Open Cuts & Euro Slot.

Zippers are very often added to pouches to allow for consumers to re-close the product tightly, keeping the content fresher for longer. Easy open cuts or tear notches are particularly suited to products where customers require a quick and easy method of opening the product. Euro slots are mainly used to hang pouches and fit exactly on the standardized retail hooks, which are widely used in stores and supermarkets.

We even threw in some rounded corners to give an enhanced shelf appeal but also finish off the pouches with great aesthetics. Rounded corners have the added benefit of preventing injury caused by sharp edges, making them easier to handle. Overall a fantastic pouch packed with good treats and full of convenience!
