After working with ‘Fold Hill Foods’ for over 10 years Law Print have improved packaging for their recently acquired brand ‘Laughing Dog’s’ range extension.

We are delighted to deliver a new, innovative Aplix resealable closure mechanism for the launch of the Grain Free Adult Complete White Fish 1.5kg bags.

The Challenge

We always seek to offer new and innovative packaging solutions to help differentiate products in a crowded market. For the launch of the Grain Free Adult Complete White Fish, Fold Hill Foods team were looking for something different to bring to the market.

As the cream Pantone background on the Laughing Dog bags proved difficult to match, we provided test colour runs, helping to achieve colour consistency with the wider product range.

We also developed a fantastic and unique Aplix resealable closure. Typically, with such strong Aplix zip lock closures it becomes difficult to separate the bags during filling. Working closely with our manufacturing base and the packing line manufacturer Fawema we were able to fix the closure to one side of the bag, solving the issue in production.

The Aplix zip is secured to the bag ‘closed’ and once filled the bag would be sealed twice, once so the Aplix is attached to the other side of the bag then again to seal the bag as usual after filling.

When the consumer opens the bag the Aplix remains fixated on both sides of the bag and would be used as normal.
