Noba Animal Co. create odour free, long-lasting, natural and safe cat litter, crafted in Canada.

Law Print was approached to help them with two new lines of cat litter for their brand, Noba Science. Typically known for its popular cat litter boxes and scoops.

What did we do?

As it was the brand’s first ever flat bottom bag, thorough product testing was provided by Law Print to ensure the packaging was up to standard and met all their requirements.

Noba Animal Co. came to us with an exciting and vibrant concept. However, given the complexity of the designs and range of colours used, we offered some guidance on the artwork setup.

It was essential to differentiate the designs between the two lines at minimum cost. We were able to use our expertise to advise them and managed to considerably reduce the total number of cylinders.

To further accentuate the contrast of some key design elements, we also applied a very smooth surface matt varnish.

In keeping with Noba’s commitment to offer real added value to their customers, we also introduced a side gusset handle to the bag.  This really gave the packaging an innovative edge and advantage over competitors’ products.  The handle makes the 12Kg cat litter easy to carry and pour, which offers consumers the convenience they actively seek.

“The latest product in the high-end Noba line, this was designed to stand out on the shelf as an ultra high-end product. Kitty litter is far from exciting, but we aimed to change that with this packaging. Response so far has been overwhelmingly positive”, says Jean-Martin Verrault.
