Announcing our donation of £10,000 to The Christie charity.
Every year we ask staff to nominate local charities that stand for causes close to our hearts. For 2016/17, Christie was a clear choice.
Firstly, as leading experts in cancer care, research and education The Christie are one of the regions most loved and well-known cancer centres. As a result, the Christie charity supports the work of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust through its fundraising activities and delivers projects, equipment and improvements that are over and above what the NHS funds.
The substantial contribution will be used to sponsor the entertainment at The Christie Charity Ball, taking place on Saturday 10th March 2018.
“After contacting the fundraising team, it was clear they envisioned something big for our donation. Therefore, we’re thrilled that the contribution can be put towards supporting the annual Christie Ball. 2018 will mark the seventh year of the Christie Charity Ball. This star-studded and high-profile evening has established itself as the most prestigious event in The Christie charity calendar.
Moreover, the event has raised over £700,000 for the hospital and its patients. In addition, in 2017 the event raised an incredible £170,000. They have high hopes for the event to raise £200,000 for the charity in 2018. This will help to continue to support their patients in their fight against cancer.

Above all, it’s set to be a great event, with a decadent 1920s theme set at The Principal Manchester.
Louise Stimson, head of fundraising at the charity said: “Becoming one of the sponsors for our ball is a wonderful way to support The Christie. Plus, it’s an excellent night out and we have an outstanding lineup. All money raised will go towards funding vital projects and services for our cancer patients.”
In conclusion, The Christie Charity Ball will take place on Saturday 10th March 2018 with members of the Law Print team attending in full great Gatsby attire to celebrate such a fantastic cause!
