Law Print scoops top BRC supply chain grade

BRC AA Grade

We are thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded the BRC Global Standard’s highest grade following an extensive audit against its Agents & Brokers Issue 2 certification.

Law Print & Packaging Management was founded in 2004 in Manchester. Since, we’ve supplied flexible packaging to a number of industries, including pet food and sports nutrition. We’ve always been proud of the products we provide our clients. For Law Print, being award the AA grade following the audit on the 16th November further validates our hard work.

This year’s accreditation goes into more depth, with additional requirements for product safety in line with EU regulations.

What is the BRC Global Standard?

The BRC Global Standard for Agents and Brokers provides a framework for managing product safety, quality and legality for non-manufacturing businesses in the food and packaging industries.

These types of organisations (agents and brokers) are critical in the food/food packaging supply chain. In addition, they are responsible for maintaining an effective chain of traceability and influence supplier product safety and quality standards.

What are the requirements to achieve BRC Certification?

The key areas that the BRC Agents and Brokers Standard (Version 2) assess to are:

  • Senior management commitment to continual improvement
  • Hazard and risk assessment
  • Product safety and quality management system
  • Supplier and subcontracted service management
  • Personnel

Not many maintain this standard

Kevin Langan, our Quality Assurance Manager said “The accreditation provides customers with an increased confidence in the products we supply. The BRC’s top grade is vital for us, because understandably, everyone looks out for it. You need to know you can trust your packaging supplier, especially when it comes to food-grade products. Above all, we are one of only a few UK companies to maintain a BRC-certified supply chain from source to delivery”.

Our AA Grade is effective from 2nd January 2019.
