As a member of SCGP, Law Print not only now belongs to the largest manufacturing group in Asia, with access to new packaging solutions, but we also benefit from their R&D innovations and sustainability roadmap credentials, such as the ISCC+ certification.

With recycled content polymer resins produced by SCG Chemicals, and with the group factory sites blowing the PE films and producing the bags in-house, the whole production chain will be fully traceable, meaning that the sustainability credits can get transferred until the finished packaging products are delivered to Law Print’s customers.

So, what is ISCC?

International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is an independent, multi-stakeholder initiative and leading certification system that supports sustainable, fully traceable, deforestation-free and climate-friendly supply chains.

ISCC provides a clear chain of custody (COC) approach with certification of the entire supply chain, from the raw material supplier to the brand owner receiving ISCC licensing to support their claims. The scheme has site-specific certificates across material cultivation/collection and processing and final product distribution. Annual recertification is required.

ISCC’s zero-deforestation policy ensures the protection of forests, high-carbon stock lands and biodiversity. Among its services, ISCC developed the ISCC PLUS certification scheme.

What is ISCC PLUS?

ISCC PLUS certification is a voluntary scheme that applies to the bioeconomy and circular economy for food, feed, chemicals, plastics, packaging, textiles and renewable feedstock derived from a process using renewable energy sources. ISCC PLUS covers the same certification requirements as ISCC EU but can be customised to meet the needs of different markets or specific applications. All biomass, waste, residues, non-biological renewables, and recycled carbon materials can be certified under ISCC PLUS.

What are the benefits of ISCC Plus certification?

ISCC PLUS can help you switch from a linear to a circular economy, one that avoids incineration and landfill, and adopts recycling and reusing materials and components. Clear chains of custody and traceability strengthen consumer trust and can help you work toward a sustainable future.

What is the scope of certification of raw materials ISCC?

ISCC is a multi-feedstock system and covers agricultural, forestry and alternative raw materials. The ISCC certification system ensures the sustainability of raw materials and products for various markets, including bioenergy (liquid and gaseous biofuels and bioliquids), food, feed, and chemical/technical markets.

What is ISCC Plus certified material?

Under ISCC PLUS, all types of agricultural and forestry raw materials, biowastes and residues, renewable feedstocks and fossil materials contributing to the circular economy and bioeconomy can be certified.
