Pouches for Spike’s new pet hedgehog food

As more and more people are keeping African Pygmy hedgehogs as pets, animal care experts Spike’s World were being frequently approached by pet hedgehog owners for feeding advice. As makers of the UK’s most popular wild hedgehog food Spikes Dinner, the Hedgehog food producers set to work on formulating a new recipe specifically made for pet African Pygmy Hedgehogs. Having been Spike’s trusted supplier for the last six years, Law Print & Packaging Management Ltd was asked to provide the pouches for the new product.

The re-sealable stand-up pouches come with a zipper as well as easy open tear notches allowing the hedgehog owner to open the pack without the need for scissors. Printed in purple tones to be consistent with the company’s branding, Law Print & Packaging Management made use of their new colour management system to further ensure colour consistency throughout the range.

As pet African Pygmy hedgehogs are also popular in Chile, Spike’s decided to meet demands by creating a second design amending the packaging specifically for the Chilean market.
