Yora Dog Food

Since the launch of the brand, Yora is on a mission to reduce your dog’s #CarbonPawPrint ? with its new sustainable pet food made from insect protein. With Law Print leading the way in sustainable packaging, it was a perfect match! And so began our journey together.

We’ve worked with Tom Neish on various other projects in the past and were trusted to provide the packaging for Yora. Tom has been working with the pet industry for over 20 years as a designer and product developer. Over the years, he’s learned a lot about what makes great pet food, and how much people care about their pets’ wellbeing.

Lots of people have asked where the name comes from. They’re named Yora in honour of one of the last uncontacted tribes in the Amazonian rainforest.

Sustainability is extremely important to Yora, which is why our PE/PE recyclable flat bottom and 4 corner seal bags were chosen for this project. Flat Bottom bags offer an outstanding on-shelf presentation and stable base for lighter weight products whilst 4 Corner Seal bags are ideal for a heavier weight.

The bags have proved to be very successful at providing the means to keep food fresher for longer. This also keeps sustainability at the forefront of their consumer’s minds.

The bags are 100% Ready to Recycle which allows them to be dropped off at various supermarket points to be recycled, along with shopping bags.

The design of the bags comes from the ingredients within. Grubs dance around the brand name, flanked by leaves – a throwback to the sustainability and natural aspects of the food. The circular design relates back to the circular economy that this product offers.

Our team worked with Yora to deliver a bag that would be strong and keep the product fresher for longer. Moving away from their brand identity wasn’t an option, but moving away from paper bags was. The reason for this is to make sure that the new packaging would protect the pet food product better in transit, especially as it is going to be travelling across the world in some cases!

Yora’s product used to be in paper bags with PLA but with the need for export, they wouldn’t have been suitable in that material structure.

Nutritionally Yora’s grubs are at least as good as chicken! They’re actually easier to digest, which makes them perfect for dogs with sensitive tummies. Yora’s grubs are packed with essential proteins, fats and minerals, and we use whole grubs so you get all of the good, no nasty by-products.

Good packaging protects your product, great packaging protects your brand.
