Law Print as a company and team individuals have always been supporting local charities through donations, sponsorships or sports events. Since 2015, we have started to officially choose a company charity for each year and encouraged staff to take part in this effort to help local organisations.
We have already announced Law Print Pack’s chosen charity for 2016 as being The Christie’s Cancer Trust. However, we want to take the opportunity today to remember last year’s chosen charity for all their great work. Law Print & Packaging Management Ltd supported Seashell Trust, a local charity helping children and young adults with complex learning disabilities.
With almost two hundred years of experience, the charity has continuously expanded their services. Seashell Trust started as a school for deaf children, but quickly added both an infant and an upper school. Today, the school also welcomes blind-deaf, autistic or elsewise disabled children and young adults aged 2-25. What makes Seashell so great is that they take into account the special needs of each individual.
It is the oldest deaf children’s charity in North West England and operates Royal School Manchester and Royal College Manchester, as well as children and adult care and residential homes including a supported tenancy.
Currently, the Seashell Trust is creating a National Centre of Excellence to aid more families across the UK. Donations help the charity with care and education of their students as well as providing necessary facilities.
The Trust’s special school is called Royal School Manchester, the Trust’s independent specialist college [ISC] is Royal College Manchester. In addition, the Trust also operates seven adult care homes and three children’s homes as well as an adult residential care home, Griffin Lodge, and Domiciliary Care Services.
